Pomoc dla ofiar głodu w Etiopii

Podczas pobytu Alemayehu Hajlu w Polsce, rozmawialiśmy o możliwości przekazywania z Polski pomocy finansowej dla ofiar głodu w Etiopii. Alemayehu zapewnił nas, że pomoc taka może być przekazywana za pośrednictwem Kościoła Mekane Yesus, który jest zangażowany w niesienie pomocy głodującym w Etiopii, a z którym BSM podpisał w ub. roku umowę o współpracy. Dary chcemy przesłać w połowie grudnia 2011. Dary przysłane po tym terminie prześlemy w styczniu 2012.

Klęską głodu dotknięta jest głównie Somalia, skąd ucieka setki tysięcy osób do obozów dla uchodźców w Kenii i Etiopii. W obozie dla uchodźców Ado Dolo w Etiopie jest obecnie ponad 120 tysięcy osób; w Dadaab w Kenii ponad 400 tysięcy.  Do obozów docierają skrajnie wyczerpani. Najgorzej trudy wędrówki znoszą dzieci. Wiele z nich umiera wkrótce po dotarciu do obozów w Kenii czy Etiopii.

Zaczęcamy do obejrzenia filmu dokumentalnego zrealizowanego przez niemiecką telewizję ARD, zatytułowanego "Afrika hungert: Ein Wettlauf gegen die Zeit"

Kościół Mekane Yesus pomaga uchodźcom na terytorium Etiopii. Uchodźcy potrzebują pokarmu, w tym wysokokalorycznych odżywek dla dzieci, lekarstw, wody, moskitier, namiotów, a w dalszej perspektywie szkół, gdyż ich powrót do Somalii jest mało prawdopodobny, dopóki panuje tam chaos polityczny generowany przez zwalczające się klany i milicję islamską, która przeciwdziała rozpowszechnianiu pomocy udzielanej przez 'niewierny' Zachód.

W związku z powyższym, apelujemy o pomod dla ofiar głodu.
